Plyotrainer

Plyo Trainer

Plyometric training is a well researched and established tool of sports training, in which the working muscle is pre-stretched in oder to elicit greater force when it contracts.

Until now the advent of the Plyo Trainer only subjective, or inaccurate, assessments of Plyometric training outcomes was possible, unless one accessed an appropriately equipped laboratory.

The Plyo Trainer enables coaches and athletes to bring accurate evaluation to each training session.  Such feedback makes possible the optimisation of each training effort and maximises the total training effect of each session.

It's quick straight forward and easy to use.

FEATURES

  • The Plyo Trainer is compact and lightweight.
  • It can be carried in your training bag.
  • It will enable you to monitor your Plyometric training through clear, accurate measurement.
  • This will facilitate great improvements in POWER & SPEED.
  • A special facility also permits you to also train you reaction time.
  • Use it at home or in the gym.
Simple 3 Step Set Up
  1. Position the mat on the ground
  2. Switch the instrument on.
  3. Measure and record jump results whilst training.

If you are serious about your sport and you want to improve then the Plyo Trainer will be the best investment you can make.

It's functions and how to use them:

I        In the FREE MODE - step onto the mat-the system will acknowledge with a single bleep-make a jump and on landing the FLIGHT time will be displayed in milliseconds.  The display will be cleared after stepping off the mat.

II      In the COMMAND MODE-step onto the mat-after 3 seconds the system will give a 'Set' command (double bleep), followed by a 'Start' command (Single bleep). Prepare to jump at the 'Set' command and make the jump on the 'Start' command.  The time between 'Set' and the 'Start' is randomly selected.   On landing the display will show the lapsed time between 'Set' and leaving the mat, as WELL, and the subsequent FLIGHT time.  The display will be cleared after stepping off the mat.

III     In the DROP MODE-step down onto the mat from a box, bench or step of suitable height and make an immediate jump.  Mat CONECT time, plus subsequent FLIGHT time, will be shown in the display, which will also indicate a POWER INDEX as a function of those times.  The display will be cleared after stepping off the mat.

  1. It is important that the subject simply steps off the box or bench rather than jump from it.
  2. Power calculations are based on  a 30cm drop height.  They become less accurate the further one deviated from that height.
