| 1* If you are
equipping a track or training area then we have a list of essential
items of equipment.... This list has been complied
in conjunction with graded UKA officials and coaches. It covers a)
Training use, (b) Competition use at two levels. It is a
realistic and practical list built from years of experience coaching and
organising meetings. It is available on request. There is a similar
list of equipment suitable for disabled athletes.
2* Equipment broken?
We are able to supply spares for most equipment (hurdles, HJ Stands,
PV Stands, landing areas, cages, netting, tape measure,) We can
also supply and fit and repair equipment. Please ask for quotation.
3* Something different?
We are happy to deal with unusual requests (even if not for track and
field athletics). We have made, for example, 45` long vaulting poles
(don't ask!), carriers for sedan chairs, poles for stage banners and horticulture
safety harnesses. British Rail maintenance are past customers along with
several theatres, museums, film studios, TV productions and advertising
agencies. We have supplied items to the Moscow State Circus. (If
the show is in your area, it is a circus without animals and it is worth
a visit.) We have also supplied to Stageworks for the Eclipse circus musical/ballet
and that is a superb show.
We are able to make special equipment for your particular needs
or we can modify designs to suit.
4* Financial deadlines?
If you need advance invoices (Proforma invoices) in order to obtain
grants we will be happy to oblige.
5* Can't Solve it?
Dr. Alan Neuff has been in athletics as athlete, coach and official for
a good many years. We can thus offer good quality practical advice
to help solve your problems. We have access to a range of highly skilled
engineers in all materials and to research expertise, both in athletics
and in the scientific and engineering fields.
6* Organisation & Management of Facilities.
We have a training course, which covers the routine organisation and
management of servicing equipment and routine training use of tracks.
Also one which covers the needs of management for the preparation and
smooth running of an athletics meeting. The course will be run by
a qualified UKA official and includes Health & Safety aspects.
The courses can be configured to your particular needs. The course
will enable you to train staff to provide a good service for both public
"training" use of your facilities and to the hired use for meetings at
all levels.
