Measuring distances accurately on competition day

Getting distances right in the field events relies on having the correct measuring equipment to hand. For long jump, triple jump and throws, a good tape measure or an electronic distance measurement (EDM) device speeds up measurement and reduces the chance of error compared with manual methods alone. Our tape measures are available in a range of lengths from 10m up to 100m, in cased or open styles, from established brands including Faithfull, Fisco, Freeman, Komelon and RST, so officials can choose the right tape for the event and the budget.

Gauges for checking implements and equipment

Before competition, officials need to confirm that implements and equipment meet the required specifications. Our gauges include knife-edge gauges for checking the diameter of discus, hammer, shot and javelin, alongside height gauges used for high jump and pole vault bar placement, and hurdle height gauges for track events. These checks help keep competition fair and consistent with World Athletics rules on implement dimensions.

Tools for jumps and grounds

Alongside gauges, our tools cover the practical side of running jumps events, including plasticine and no-jump indicator strips for long jump and triple jump take-off boards. These help officials call jumps accurately and keep the runway and landing areas properly marked throughout a meet.
