What equipment is used in pole vault?
Pole vault needs more kit than most events: a vaulting pole, grip for the vaulter, a cross bar, uprights to hold it, a pole vault box to plant into and a landing area to finish on. Vaulting poles
Our vaulting poles include the Pacer and Nordic ranges, in lengths from around 3m up to 5m so there is something for beginners through to advanced vaulters. Uprights, cross bars and measuring
Our pole vault stands, uprights and cross bars hold the bar at the right height, with DIMA and ARH uprights and base protection for competition and training. For the bar itself, the Exel cross bar and the Jex elastic cross bar both work for pole vault or high jump. The Telefix Telescopic Height Gauge measures bar height for both events.
Landing areas and pit protection
A safe landing area is the heart of any pole vault set up. What is the pole vault box?
The pole vault box, sometimes called the planting box, is the recessed area at the end of the runway where the vaulter plants the pole at take-off. It takes a lot of force every time someone vaults, so it is worth getting the right set up and keeping it protected.
Pole vault steel troughs and landing bed collars
For the box itself, we stock a pole vault steel trough, available with or without a lid. Around the box, the padded pole vault landing bed collar sits between the box and the landing area to help protect the athlete and the equipment.
