Choosing the right hurdles
Whether you're equipping a club, school or stadium, getting the right hurdle comes down to event and standard. We stock everything from IAAF and UKA classified competition hurdles through to training and Sportshall equipment, so you'll find the right hurdle whatever level you're working at. Height and weight requirements vary by age group and event, so it's worth checking what your athletes are training or competing to before choosing, and our team is happy to help if you're not sure.
Competition hurdles
Our competition hurdles, including the Neuff Competition Hurdle and the ARH Olympic Competition Hurdle, conform to IAAF and UKA specifications, making them suitable for sanctioned meets and championships. Built for consistent performance under competition conditions, they're designed to meet the standards officials and governing bodies expect, so clubs and stadia can rely on them for affiliated events.
Training hurdles
Training hurdles are built to handle repeated use across a full season. We stock aluminium training hurdles in junior and senior heights, ARH International Training Hurdles, and W-Base hurdles designed for speed training. Plyometric hurdles and speed agility hurdles are also available for athletes working on technique and quickness rather than clearance height.
Steeplechase hurdles
Steeplechase hurdles come in 5m, 4m or 3.66m water jump versions, with adjustable training barriers also available for club and school use. The adjustable training hurdle lets you build up to full competition height gradually, making it a practical option for clubs developing steeplechase athletes from junior through to senior level.
Sportshall hurdles for schools
For schools and younger athletes, we stock folded plastic Sportshall hurdles and foam hurdles in a range of heights, giving primary and junior athletes a safe way to start hurdling. Foam hurdles in particular are a good option for younger or less experienced athletes, since they reduce the risk of injury if contact is made while learning technique.
Hurdle accessories and replacement parts
Beyond the hurdles themselves, we stock the parts needed to keep them in working order, including replacement top bars, elbow joints, weight adjusting handles and button springs. Hurdle trolleys make moving and storing multiple hurdles easier, and a hurdle height gauge is available for officials checking equipment meets competition standards.
