The FDS Photocell Timing System is the world's most accurate race timing method short of a full photo-finish setup. Designed by Swiss engineers, this portable, all-weather system uses an infra-red beam across the finish line to deliver split-second precision — and it links seamlessly to a wide range of electronic start pistols and devices.
A smart step up from manual timekeeping, the FDS system works alongside Timekeepers and Track Judges to combine ultra-accurate electronic timing with experienced human judging. Note: photocells cannot distinguish between multiple athletes finishing simultaneously or between an arm and torso crossing first — so official judgement remains essential.

The lead time on made-to-order items will vary widely at different times of year. For example, a landing area purchased in October may have a 4 week lead-time, whereas the same item purchased in May may have a 20 week lead time.
