Simple looped rope with handles for visually impaired athletes & their guides. Under the rules the athlete must pass the finish before the guide so it is common practice for the guide to drop the tie a couple of metres before the finish and drop back allowing the athlete ahead. If the guide goes through first then the athlete is liable to disqualification (and will not be happy!)
