The Nemeth Special competition javelin is a certified aluminium implement available in 400g and 500g weights with distinct distance ratings to suit beginner through elite throwers. Colour-coded tails make it easy to identify the correct model, and every 500g option is certified for use in international competitions.

Nemeth Special options:

The 500g javelin ranges include options from beginner to elite. 

The 400g javelin is designed for beginner and improving athletes, reflecting the age group which uses this weight. 

The Nemeth Special 700g was replaced in 2025 by the Nemeth ACE.

500g 

  • 60m
    • Recommended for technically skilled, physically capable throwers. Requires accurate release.
    • Neuff Tier: Elite
    • yellow/orange tail
    • World Athletics certified:  I-11-0543
  • 50m
    • Recommended for technically advanced, physically capable throwers with developing results. Good compensation in case of less accurate release.
    • Neuff Tier: Top Club
    • yellow/red tail
    • World Athletics certified:  I-11-0542
  • 40m
    • Recommended for technically intermediate throwers with developing physical abilities. Good compensation in case of inaccurate release.
    • Neuff Tier: Intermediate Club
    • yellow/blue tail
    • World Athletics certified:  I-11-0541

    • Recommended by Nemeth for technically beginner throwers, students and master athletes. Good compensation in case of inaccurate release.
