FDS Photocell Timing Systems are the most accurate race timing method in the world, using an Infra-red beam impulse across the finish line for split-second accuracy. The FDS Photocell package is a world-leading system, designed by Swiss engineers to be a portable, all-weather solution, which links to a wide range of electronic start pistols and devices (see below for compatibility).
The FDS Photocell Timing System is a great step towards electronic timing, without the substantial investment of a full photo-finish system. Designed to work together with Timekeepers and Track Judges, the FDS photocells give the most accurate timing available, which aids Timekeepers in calibrating their skills. However, unlike photo-finish video cameras, the photocells cannot distinguish between multiple athletes crossing the line together, nor between an arm or torso crossing the line first. So, used together with experienced officials, you benefit from ultra-accurate timing and human judging for the best combined result.
Simply link the T-Box to your electronic starter device (not included), set the Photocells on tripods on either side of the finish line and pair the photocells to the T-Box.

WIRC Infra-Red Photocells Details
The Wireless Infra-Red Photocell set (WIRC) is a smart and compact solution for your timing system. Due to its integrated design, it is simple to install and detects and transmits impulses to the T-Box wireless timing console using a bidirectional radio protocol. Wired connection to any timing devices is also possible via a 3.5mm Jack connector located on the back. Up to 4 WIRC can communicate with 1 T-Box. The tripods include spirit levels to ensure accuracy at the finish line, and can be easily moved to be at torso height for different aged athletes through a competition.

T-Box Details
the V41 T-Box has 6 wireless and 2 hard-wired inputs, allowing up to 4 photocells plus an electronic start device to be connected. The battery life can easily manage 2 days of continuous timekeeping without the need to recharge. Connects to any FDS Timing App, plus a whole host of 3rd party professional Timing & Scoring software solutions, using both USB and Bluetooth integration. All critical time-stamped impulses are also stored on the internal SD card as a back-up to prevent accidental data-loss. Includes onboard GPS with external antenna for precision timing in cross-country racing and similar.

MLED Display Details
The MLED Display offers a high visibility, lightweight and easy-to-assemble display screen for timing results, wind-speed, and other race information items. The MLED-3S comes with three modular panels, but with its lightweight and modular design you can add as many panels as you need to build your desired display size for your event. Each panel weighs just 800 grams so connecting the displays and mounting them is light work. Each MLED has a definition of 32×16 dots and can be assembled side by side up to a total of 8 modules. Multi lines can also be placed on top of each other. MLED uses simple RS232 communication making it compatible with most timing software, as well as linking directly with your TBox timing device via the RS232 output.
