Freya is an elite 600 g javelin created for female athletes who want a fluid, forgiving release without sacrificing performance in the air.

Its performance begins with Nordic Sport’s distinctive hybrid construction. By distributing aluminium and specially engineered carbon fibre evenly through the body, Freya brings together the key advantages of both materials.

Through the approach and release, Freya offers the smooth, responsive and forgiving feel of an elite aluminium javelin. Its natural movement helps the thrower commit fully to acceleration, without the punishing sensation often associated with extreme stiffness.

In flight, Freya reveals the aerodynamic qualities of a Valhalla Hard. It stabilises rapidly and provides the lift, control and sustained glide expected from a top-level carbon javelin.

For elite female throwers, Freya removes the need for compromise, pairing comfort and forgiveness at release with uncompromising performance throughout the flight.

Available with Nordic Sport’s world-unique NXS or NXB tip, allowing athletes to select aerodynamic characteristics suited to their throwing technique and the prevailing wind conditions.

Freya — effortless at release, exceptional in flight.

Nordic's Freya javelins now come with a choice of 2 new tips.

  • Nordic Valhalla NXS Javelin tip
NXS – Next Generation Sharp tip:   for maximum lift in all wind conditions.  The NXS tip is a universal tip and more forgiving in side/ cross wind conditions

  • Nordic Valhalla NXB javelin tip

NXB – Next Generation Blunt:  for maximum lift in predominantly tailwind and still conditions. The NXB tip is therefore thicker and has a blunter presentation to maximise lift and therefore longer glide during perfect wind conditions for this particular tip.  NXB tip option is available to order on demand.
