Steel roll-over wheel-away cover for Sandpit | Long / Triple Jump
The Sand-pit steel roll-over covers protect your landing area from weather and animal damage. Your sand-pit will be in ideal condition for every training and competition session, with no more cleaning up animal mess or rubbish.
Constructed on a strong metal frame with galvanised steel panels, these covers have swivel wheels for easy movement. Due to the size of long jump sand pits, metal covers are usually constructed in 2 sections, held together by chains. Can be tailored to fit your exact structure.
Steel Roll-Over Landing Area Cover Features
- Sand pit covers are usually in 2 sections, secured together with chains. Covers for smaller sand pits may be in a single section.
- Galvanised Steel frame and panels
- Heavy-duty wheels to raise the cover approx 40mm off the ground for clearance.
- Swivel castors on the back, fixed castors on the front, for easy movement.
- To fit single or double sand pits. Made to measure for your system.
Steel Roll-Over Cover Requirements
Metal sand pit covers are reasonably stable in moderately windy conditions, as the 2 sections are chained together, creating a strong base. However, they may lift up in high winds, so covers that are not in a sheltered position should be used with ground anchors.
- Hard-standing to allow the wheels to run smoothly when moving.
- Ground sockets installed to enable the cover to be secured against wind
