Athletes in lockdown | How to cope with training and racing under covid restrictions

Athletics in Lockdown | How are you adapting?

We have talked to three very different athletes to hear how they are managing during the Covid restrictions.

Rebecca Jeggo

is an U23 Sprinter from Colchester Harriers. An up-and-coming elite athlete, Rebecca is also a student at University of Essex.

Megan Williams

is a U20 Pole Vaulter with Yate AC. An A-Levels student, Megan has suffered with injury over the past few years, so Covid provided some respite from training and the ability to get back to full strength.

Scott Lincoln

has been the British Shot Put Champion for a number of years and is hoping to qualify for the Tokyo 2021 Olympic Games.

Listen to them talk about:

  • their training,
  • which virtual platforms work best,
  • hacks for great training sessions without the usual equipment,
  • mental health & motivation,
  • looking forward to 2021 and more!
