Resistance harness - padded webbing band
This padded band is fitted with straps constructed from seat belt webbing. It is a simple non-fastening band with two hand grips at ends of extended straps.
Perfect for resistance training, this band is placed around the athletes waist, then a second athlete stands behind, holding the straps. When the front athlete accelerates from a standing start, the rear athlete resists the forward movement. Take care not to yank the athlete backwards to ensure good biomechanical posture when training. Resistance training is a useful element to improve acceleration, both for sprinters and other jump and throw athletes.
