The Diana is one of our most popular 600g javelins, preferred by some of the UKs top throwers and coaches.  The Diana NXB requires high capacity, both physically and technically in the thrower, but is forgiving enough to reduce the risk of injury in improving throwers.

This javelin was previously known as the Diana Classic 7.7 flex.

NXB or NXS Tip?

NXB - Next Generation Blunt tip is made for maximum lift in predominantly tailwind and still conditions.  It is thicker and possesses more of a blunt presentation, helping create maximum lift and therefore longer glide during perfect wind conditions for this particular tip.

NXS - Next Generation Sharp tip is designed for maximum lift in all wind conditions.  A great universal tip, it is also forgiving in side/ cross wind conditions.

Advance Tip Control

Advance Tip Control is Nordic's way to optimise the javelin's 'moment of inertia'.  This means the javelin will correct itself to the path you have thrown it and be less likely to change direction during flight.  Another huge advantage is that you can already feel the direction and path of the javelin during the run-up.

    Stiffness

The stiffer the javelin, the less it will flex/vibrate in the air and will result in less air drag.  The down side is that it puts a lot more strain on the upper body.  A soft javelin flexes/vibrates a lot, which can also be a very good thing is you are a less skilled thrower.

    Aerodynamics

This is the difference between throwing an iron pipe and a fine tuned javelin.  The two most driving factors when it comes to the cost of a javelin is the choice of material & fine tuning of the geometry.  Nordic have invested a lot of time to find the best aerodynamics for the longest flight depending of the stiffness & balance.

    Balance

Balance together with aerodynamics will decide when in flight at a given velocity the javelin will turn it's tip towards the ground.  If your javelin has a tendency to land flat you should try a javelin with lower level aerodynamics and balance.
